A basic dessert filling for pastries and baked goods.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar (50 g)
- Tbsp corn starch
- 1/2 Tbsp flour
- Vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- Whipped creme
Instructions
- Seperate egg yolks and mix in a pan with the sugar, starch and vanilla.
- Add in a splash of milk and begin to beat until there is a thick paste.
- Add in the rest of milk and begin to whisk while heating until a boil.
- It will suddenly thicken, let heat for a bit longer.
- Turn off heat and add in the butter. Let chill down to room temperature.
- Mix with equal parts of whipped creme and mix together.
